Pure for God Gatherings

The Gospel of Jesus Christ must be the passion of any ministry that seeks to make an eternal difference in the youth of any generation, for "it is the power of God to salvation for everyone who believes." Romans 1:16

The changes God desires to see in the lives of young people, their families and the church as a whole come only by the transforming power of the Holy Spirit and the Gospel. God's Word tells us that our flesh (human nature) wants to pull us down a path of corruption and sin. Matthew 26:41 "Watch and pray, that ye enter not into temptation: the spirit indeed is willing, but the flesh is weak."

It is therefore paramount that every believer hides the Word of God in their heart and looks to the person of Jesus Christ for direction, conviction, and the power to live the pure life we are called to as believers. Paul said in II Timothy, "Flee the evil desires of youth, and pursue righteousness, faith, love and peace, along with those who call on the Lord out of a pure heart." Are we raelly looking to our lives from God's perspective? It's time to address every area of our lives with the Word of God and the person of Jesus Christ. Psalm 139:23 "Search me, O God, and know my heart: try me, and know my thoughts..." The changes our Heavenly Father desires to make in our lives do not end with the 'Amen' of a sinner's prayer. On the contrary, this in fact is where it all begins! Jesus tells us in Mark 8:34, "And when he had called the people unto Him with His disciples also, He said unto them, Whosoever will come after me, let him deny himself, and take up his cross, and follow me."

Pure for God Gatherings (PFGG) foster times of worship, reflection on God's Word, prayer, personal testimony, small group interaction, and various community-building activities, such as meals. Although there are common components, each gathering is unique because the needs and hearts of each church and its leadership are explored during prayerful discussions prior to any gathering. Also very importantly, PFG relies upon God's Holy Spirit to minister to His people, "so that your faith might not rest on men's wisdom, but on God's power." I Corinthians 2:5
